to learn about the Color Guard
In the Union Pines band room
April 20th & April 22nd.
From Mr. Hill on joining the Color Guard:
Hello Vikings, the Marching Vikings would like to get as many interested in the color guard this year as possible, the visual aspect of the band (flag work, dance, sabers, etc...), and would be great for anyone who is also interested in dance because we incorporate that as well into the shows. We also have a new color guard instructor for the up and coming year. Mr. Juaquin Rodriquez has agreed to instruct the guard this year for us. He is new to us as an instructor, has tremendous talent, and is looking forward to working with us here at Union Pines. We welcome him aboard.
From our new Color Guard Instructor Mr. Juaquin Rodriquez:
Students, we would like to encourage you to join the Union Pines Color Guard!
Color guard is an interactive group that incorporates dance, music, and flag work all into one.
You get to have fun, make new friends and learn some new skills.
We would really like more to get involved to have great experiences being part of the award-winning Marching Viking program. Feel free to come out on April 20th and 22nd to learn more. We plan to have the interest meeting to gather interested members so they can better understand what the color guard is all about and to try some flag work. If you have any questions, feel free to email Mr. Hill at email@example.com or contact him at the high school. Also, if you are a current guard member, see Mr. Hill if interested in returning.
Hope to see you all at Union Pines in the band room at 6:00 on April 20th and 22nd.
